Wedding Photographer Judges
Some things never go out of fashion – photographs are one of them. While the essence of photography has changed dramatically since the first photograph was taken decades ago, photographs still hold a lot of interest for people who want to hold their memories on a piece of photo paper – or in a disc, for events such as weddings.

Allister Freeman - Allister Freeman Photography
I’ve been a professional documentary wedding photographer since 2004, photographing hundreds of weddings and portrait commissions internationally; my style has developed into a distinct form of natural and honest coverage.
My natural and unobtrusive style captures the essence of an event without the need for posing. I don’t believe in photographic fads and recognise the value in timeless, elegant and authentic reportage photography, where each frame tells a story.
Sacha Miller - Sacha Miller
I have over twenty years of photographic experience, a career that has included travelling overseas and front page pictures of national newspapers. For the last decade and a half I have concentrated on specialising in wedding photography. Now with over 500 hundred weddings under my belt I can honestly say no two weddings are the same, which is why I personally prefer a more natural, documentary approach, allowing the true nature of the couple and their wedding day to reveal itself.
Sacha Miller is an MV Member
”‘Formed from some of the best wedding and portrait photographers in the UK, MV strives to push its members forward and improve the standards of UK Wedding and Portrait photography.”

Taking a boutique approach to weddings in London and beyond, we travel extensively throughout the U.K. and internationally to capture photos and films that sweep couples off their feet.
As individuals, we’re passionate about everything we do and feel it’s the best way to live life: Love what you do and put your heart and soul into it. It’s the only way you’ll be able to do anything that inspires you and the people around you. That’s why between us we’ve played world-famous stages as a musician, trained to be Olympians, Proposed to our partner after meeting them for 5 days, tried to climb Everest, run marathons and lived in various countries around the world….and not necessarily in that order!
We think that’s why we gravitate towards capturing weddings: The excitement of the day, the emotion of it all, the buzz, the details, that ‘live element’, the thought that you get once chance to capture it combined with that feeling as two people make one of the most amazing, exciting decision in their lives in front of everyone they love.

I’m a multi-award-winning alternative wedding photographer. Based in Nottingham, since 2006 I’ve photographed weddings all over the UK. Originally, in the 1980s, yikes, I trained and worked in the NHS as a medical photographer. I’ve been a primary school teacher, and education officer for the RSPCA too.
I’ve shot heaps of weddings and picked up a few nifty accolades on the way, like being named, ‘One of the Uk’s 10 Best Creative and Quirky Wedding Photographers’ 2014, ‘One of the 100 Best Wedding Photographers in the World,’ 2015. And or the past 3 years in a a row I have been recognised by Hen Heaven as one of the UKs best wedding photographers. I’m also a member of the WPJA and have one awards in their photography competitions.
Authenticity and honesty is a thread that runs through all that I do. I think this is incredibly important in business and in life. I believe in creating real lasting relationships with my couples and I care incredibly deeply about them. I do all that I can to make them feel special and valued, and in giving them real photos that capture real moments of their lives, respecting the magic that lies within them.
My 30+ years experience means that knowing photography inside out, upside down and back to front affords me the freedom to immerse yourself in a couples day rather than worrying about lighting or any other technical aspect, intuitively I’ve taken care of that already. I’m constantly searching for new ways to keep my style fresh and evolving to ensure that every couple gets something a little different. This includes on going learning, something I encourage all photographers to do no matter how long they have been in this business. I believe it is never too late for old dogs to learn, And I don’t just mean in photography techniques or the latest gadgets but all aspects of running a successful and memorable businesses.
